The upcoming romantic drama « Boyfriend on Demand »is beginning to reveal the explosive dynamics of its main duo. The newly released images feature Jisoo and Seo In-guk, They are two office colleagues who seem to have nothing in common, between professional distance and unintentional curiosity.
Directed by Kim Jung-sik, known for Work Later, Drink Now and Not Others, The drama adopts the codes of the modern romantic comedy, adding a touch of technology and melancholy.
An exhausted producer in search of escape
Jisoo plays Seo Mi-rae, a webtoons producer overwhelmed by her work, whose daily routine consists of chasing deadlines. Newly-released images show her tired, almost cut off from the world, walking to her office with noise-cancelling headphones on, struggling to sleep in transit.

In another scene, Mi-rae faces the winter cold outside, trampling to keep warm, symbolizing a harsh daily life without a break. It is in this state of exhaustion that she allows herself to be tempted by Boyfriend on Demand, a virtual dating simulation service designed to give her the perfect dates she no longer has time for in real life.

Another shot shows her about to don the virtual reality device, her gaze charged with anticipation and curiosity. Behind this digital escapade lies a central question: can these ideal experiences really fill the void left by an invasive professional life?

An elusive colleague with many faces
Opposite her, Seo In-guk plays Park Kyeong-nam, star webtoons producer at Nemo Studio. Competent, focused and frighteningly efficient, he's the perfect colleague... at least on the surface. For Mi-rae, he remains an «incomprehensible» character, whom she'd rather avoid.

The images show him absorbed in his work, displaying an almost unapproachable coldness. Even when he lays eyes on Mi-rae, a subtle distance sets in, foreshadowing a tense, unspoken professional relationship.

But an unexpected contrast appears in another scene: Kyeong-nam, visibly drunk, drops all restraint. His awkward, spontaneously endearing behavior reveals a side totally opposed to his office ace image. This discrepancy fuels curiosity about his character and promises a relational evolution as unpredictable as it is touching.

Between virtual romance, workplace friction and buried emotions, Boyfriend on Demand promises to be a bittersweet romantic comedy rooted in the modern realities of the professional world.
The drama Boyfriend on Demand will be available on March 6 on Netflix.
