Ahn Hyo-seop to star in culinary drama The Final Table

Following the success of his KPop films Demon Hunters and Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, Ahn Hyo-seop is set to star in another project. On September 3, Korean media announced that Ahn Hyo-seop would play the lead role in the upcoming TV series The Final Table.

A 2nd project for Ahn Hyo-seop

This new kdrama will probably be Ahn Hyo-seop's 2nd series to come. Currently, the actor is shooting for his next SBS TV series Sold Out Again Today with Chae Won-bin, Kim Bum, Go Doo-shim, Jo Woo-ri and Yoon Jae-chan.

The Final Table will feature a competition ("The table: K chef 2026") where top Korean chefs from around the world come together to prepare a feast of exceptional dishes to select the best Korean chef.

Ahn Hyo Seop will play the role of Kang Han, a Korean chef known as Chris K. He left the country during his elementary school years and spent 25 years away from home before returning to his native country.

A busy 2025

This year, Ahn Hyo-seop focused on his film debut with Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, working alongside Lee Min-ho, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana from After School and Ji Soo from BLACKPINK.

He also received favorable reviews for his dubbing in the hit Netflix KPop animated film Demon Hunters.

Ahn Hyo-seop last appeared in Korean drama in 2023 in the Netflix original series A Time Called You with Jeon Yeo-been, Kang Hoon, Seo Ye-hwa, Lee Min-goo and Jang Hye-jin.

Look out for more information on The final table, scheduled for release in 2026. Its release date, broadcaster and streaming platform have not yet been confirmed.
