JTBC is about to unveil a new drama that smacks of nostalgia and first love: A Hundred Memoriesan initiation romance set in Korea in the 1980s. The drama, scheduled to premiere on September 13 at 10:40 p.m. (awaiting an international broadcaster), promises to capture hearts with its complex characters and retro atmosphere.
At the heart of the story are three young people bound by friendship and the torments of their first love affair. Kim Da-mi (Itaewon Class) plays the role of Go Young-rye, Shin Ye-eun (The Glory) plays Seo Jong-heeand Heo Nam-jun (When the phone rings) lends his features to Han Jae-pilthe famous "prince on his white horse".

Born into a wealthy family (his father is the president of a department store), Han Jae-pil seems to have it all: beauty, wealth, charisma. But behind the perfect image lies a young man marked by deep wounds. He lost his mother as a child and was deeply affected by his father's remarriage. These events have left him with a sense of abandonment, anger and a desire to defend himself against the injustice of his own life.
So he turned to boxing, hoping one day to release all that pent-up rage. A symbolic gesture: hitting hard, as if to free himself from the embrace of a past that won't go away.

The first images unveiled by the production show all the ambivalence of the character: at times soft and dreamy, like a teenage sweetheart out of a romantic manhwa, at other times tense and ready to explode, or focused in a boxing ring, revealing his inner strength.

But the story doesn't end there. Against a backdrop of shared bus journeys and indelible memories, Jae Pil's heart is torn between 2 young womenthemselves closely linked. Between loyalty, passion and unhealed wounds, A Hundred Memories sensitively explores the intersecting paths of friendship and love.
The production promises a multi-faceted character: both crown prince and flayed rebel, Han Jae-pil is destined to become a major figure of youth on screen. The subtle interplay of Heo Nam-junparticularly in the boxing scenes and moments of introspection, should leave a lasting impression.
