Launched this June 16 on the ENA channel, Holmes Salon may have got off to a shaky start in terms of audience (1.3 %), but it quickly captured the attention of Kdrama fans thanks to a refreshing concept and a tasty cast. This new series blends humor, light action and team spirit, with a strong and engaging female cast.
The synopsis
The story takes place in an ordinary residence... which becomes the stage for impromptu investigations. Gong Mi-Ri, a newcomer to the building, is a brilliant woman with an almost supernatural flair. Played by Lee Si-Young, she's a sort of neighborhood Sherlock Holmes, always attentive to the smallest detail. She soon crosses paths with three other women who, each in their own way, have something to say: Chu Kyung-Ja (Jung Young-Joo), a fearsome ex-detective with a strong character, Park So-Hee (Dasom), resourceful and always on her scooter, and Jeon Ji-Hyun (Nam Ki-Ae), a former "insurance queen" converted to a local manager with branches everywhere.

A team as funny as it is effective
Episode 1 set the tone: an unexpected hostage situation at the building's supermarket becomes an opportunity for our four heroines to join forces and solve a problem that's much more personal than it seems. The result: a master stroke and the birth of a quartet of improvised vigilantes.

The tone is lively, the dialogue well-paced, and the chemistry between the actresses hits the mark. Each character adds his or her own touch: reflection, action, infiltration or information networks. We laugh, we care, and above all, we want more.
A colorful "villain" for episode 2
And starting tonight, June 17In episode 2, they tackle a new scourge of everyday life: the "Parking Villain". This shameless inhabitant, recognizable by his flashy red car and his drama thug look, arrogantly blocks spaces. Between provocations, threatening glances and attack plans worthy of a special operation, our building detectives will do everything to put him in his place.

With dynamic staging, great chemistry between the actresses and plots rooted in everyday life, Salon de Holmes promises to be a sparkling comedy, as entertaining as it is invigorating.. An appointment not to be missed, especially if you're looking for a light-hearted series featuring strong, funny women.
Broadcast Mondays and Tuesdays at 10pm on ENA (no international broadcaster at present).
