KBS1 has unveiled a preview of the first script reading for its new daily drama « Our Happy Days« bringing together a large cast around an intergenerational family story.
The series features the confrontation between a man considered perfect and an awkward but endearing woman, each seeking to become the main character in his own life.
An already palpable chemistry between the actors
The video for the reading features Yoon Jong-hoon, Uhm Hyun-kyung, Jung Yoon, Yoon Da-young and an impressive list of established actors.
Yoon Jong-hoon delivered an immersive performance as Go Gyeol, a brilliant architect awarded the Young Architect of the Year prize and endowed with every conceivable advantage. Opposite him was Uhm Hyun-kyung as Jo Eun-ae, a startup developer determined to build a more humane world through artificial intelligence. Her luminous energy immediately set the tone for the reading.
Jung Yoon, as Go Min-ho, and Yoon Da-young, who plays Seo Seung-ri, also made their presence felt. The complicity between the four main actors was already perceptible, heightening the anticipation surrounding the drama.
A series on the value of everyday life
The cast also includes veteran actors such as Kim Hye-ok, Sunwoo Jae-duk, Yoon Da-hoon, Moon Hee-kyung, Lee Sang-sook, Jung Ho-bin, Lee Ho-jae and Jung Young-sook, whose performances further heightened the anticipation.
Yoon Jong-hoon shared his feelings: «I think this project will get people thinking about what family means in today's world.»
Uhm Hyun-kyung added: «It's a drama that makes you realize how precious an ordinary day is. I hope viewers will keep that in mind as they watch it.»
Between tension, humor and human warmth, Our Happy Days promises to highlight the beauty of family relationships and simple moments.
The series will air in March on KBS1, replacing Marie and Her Three Daddies.
