The drama “The Scarecrow”reveals a first glimpse of the tense encounter between its two main characters, played by Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-joon.

This thriller follows Kang Tae-joo, a talented detective forced to collaborate with a man he deeply hates, as he investigates a series of murders. The story spans several decades, from 1988 to 2019, exploring a relationship marked by hatred and the wounds of the past.

What makes their collaboration even more explosive is their shared history.

A rancorous confrontation

Kang Tae-joo, a traumatized former student, finds in Cha Si-young not only an influential prosecutor, but also the man who harassed him relentlessly during his school years. The painful memories have never gone away, fueling an anger that remains intact despite the years.

Opposite him, Cha Si-young adopts a disconcerting attitude. Calm, almost detached, he greets his former comrade with a smile that seems totally unaware of the past. This difference in reaction further accentuates the tension between the two men.

Their confrontation continues in a darker setting, including a nocturnal crime scene where their hostility becomes palpable, foreshadowing an explosive collaboration.

Beyond fiction, this is Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-joon's third collaboration. Actor Park Hae-soo confides: “Lee Hee-joon knows my faults well and gives me invaluable advice. I was really happy to work with him and create a real connection through our roles.”

For his part, Lee Hee-joon emphasizes their long friendship: “We've been close for about 20 years, ever since we started acting. Park Hae-soo is someone whose energy naturally puts people at ease.”
