The Korean adaptation of “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store”continues to take shape. According to several media, Jang Dong-yoon and Park Hee-soon are said to be in talks to join the cast of this highly-anticipated drama.
When contacted, Jang Dong-yoon's agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed: ««The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” is one of the projects he has been offered and is considering positively.» Park Hee-soon's agency has not yet responded.
This new project is adapted from Keigo Higashino's celebrated novel, a particularly popular work that blends mystery and emotion.
A story between past and present
“The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” tells the story of 3 thieves who find refuge in a mysterious grocery store. This singular place provides a connection between the past and the present, through letters sent by people seeking advice.
In responding to these messages, the protagonists gradually uncover a secret beyond their own existence, revealing an unexpected link between their lives and those of the senders.
Prior to these new casting discussions, several actors had already been mentioned to join the project, including Lee Chae-min, Kim Hye-yoon, Moon Sang-min, Go Ah-sung, Yum Jung-ah, Park Se-wan, Ryu Seung-ryong, Kang You-seok and Jung Chae-yeon. This promises a big cast, so it remains to be seen who will actually be confirmed in the end!
The drama is currently finalizing its casting and is due to start filming soon.
