Fans of romance and touching, human K-dramas have something to look forward to: tvN is currently preparing a new series entitled I'll Give You the Universe (working title), featuring a highly anticipated on-screen duo: Bae In-hyuk and Roh Jeong-eui.
An unexpected cohabitation... and unexpected feelings
I'll Give You the Universe will tell the story of 2 young adults related by marriage, who have never really understood each other. But their lives are turned upside down when, after a tragic accident, they have to raise their 20-month-old nephew, Woo Joo (which means "universe" in Korean), together. The series will blend comic situations, heartfelt emotions and budding romance in the sometimes chaotic daily routine of this new family life.
Bae In-hyuk will play the role of Sun Tae-hyungis a photographer's assistant who leads a quiet life, faithful to his tastes and rhythm. Outwardly free-spirited, he nevertheless hides deep wounds that he doesn't let anyone see. This role promises a beautiful inner evolution, which Bae In-hyuk will, as usual, nuance with emotion.
Roh Jeong-eui, the rising actress with a string of successes
The Roh Jeong-euinicknamed the "MZ goddess" in Korea, who will perform Woo Hyun-jinWoo Joo's co-guardian and, inevitably, Tae Hyung's romantic interest. Recently seen in Hierarchy on Netflix, the actress is enjoying a meteoric rise on the local and international scene. She will also be appearing in the dramas The Witch (Channel A) and Bunny and the Oppas (MBC), cementing his place as one of the most promising talents of his generation.
His duet with Bae In-hyuk, another rising star on the small screen, is already generating a lot of anticipation among K-drama fans.
Broadcast scheduled for 2025
Produced by tvN, I'll Give You the Universe is scheduled for broadcast before the end of the year. With its tender yet realistic script, charismatic cast and intergenerational theme, the drama promises to be one of the season's must-sees.
