He is one of the public's favourite actors: Bae In-hyuk<\/a> continues to take on projects without pause. According to Korean media, the actor was recently cast in the new drama \u201cProtect Me<\/a>\u201d(literal title), directed by Oh Hyun-jong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new project will mark her return to the small screen after the end of the tvN drama \u201cOur Universe<\/a>\u201dbroadcast last March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A romantic thriller about a serial killer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProtect Me\u201d will follow Kang Hae-ra, a detective who poses as a secretary to protect Do Jun-hyuk, a key witness in a case linked to a serial killer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bae In-hyuk is set to play Do Jun-hyuk, a man secretly investigating the mysterious death of his mother. As he investigates, he begins to suspect a link between this personal case and the serial killer the police are after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the investigation stalls, Kang Hae-ra takes the risky step of using Jun-hyuk as bait to lure the murderer, while continuing to protect him. Between mistrust, secrets and constant danger, their relationship gradually evolves into a tense romance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drama is already being billed as a mix of psychological suspense, crime thriller and romance.<\/p>\n\n\n

Her appearance on \u201cI Live Alone\u201d left a lasting impression on viewers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In recent months, Bae In-hyuk has attracted particular attention thanks to her appearance on MBC's \u00abI Live Alone\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In it, the actor talked about his career path, built without any financial support from his family, which earned him the nickname \u201cself-made icon\u201d among Korean Internet users. \u00abAt first, I lived in a goshiwon before moving to a studio, then finally to the apartment where I live today.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He had also explained: \u00abSince I was very young, I dreamed of becoming an actor and I wanted to be responsible for myself. So I worked hard through odd jobs and working life.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bae In-hyuk recently held his solo fan meeting \u201cFRAME BY FRAME\u201d, before also being announced in the Korean adaptation of \u00ab\u00a0The Miracles of the Namiya General Store<\/a>\" .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this new drama, the actor confirms his status as a rising star, particularly active this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProtect Me\u201d will be directed by Oh Hyun-jong, known for Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, Two Cops, Find Me in Your Memory and Doctor Slump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
