An ordinary man creates the perfect fake banknote

«Paper Man» follows Cha Myung-jo, a man working in a company specializing in the manufacture of stickers and related products.

Although he's officially the head of the family, his day-to-day life is far from ideal. At home, he lives in the shadow of his wife, a brilliant and respected judge who seems to succeed in everything she does.

Everything changes when he accidentally creates a counterfeit banknote of such exceptional quality that it becomes indistinguishable from a real one.

This discovery leads him into an unexpected criminal world, and gradually awakens ambitions and desires he had never dared express before.

Jo Jeong-seok in an atypical new role

Jo Jeong-seok will play Cha Myung-jo, an ordinary man worn down by life who is gradually transformed by this discovery.

Known for his natural ability to alternate between comedy and drama, the actor could once again demonstrate the full extent of his talent in a character torn between frustration, temptation and danger.

Park Hae-soo on his way

Opposite him is Park Hae-soo as Oh Seung-eop, the first deputy director of the Korean Mint's anti-counterfeiting division.

Tasked with tracking down counterfeiters, he will become one of Cha Myung-jo's main obstacles in his new life. The duel between the 2 characters should be one of the main driving forces behind the story.

Claudia Kim as an elite judge

Claudia Kim will play Ko Hye-seok, Cha Myung-jo's wife.

A brilliant and respected judge, she represents everything her husband has not become. Her status and success seem to have gradually created an imbalance in their relationship, an element that could play an important role in the main character's evolution.

With its mix of crime thriller, social satire and black comedy, «Paper Man» is already shaping up to be one of the most original Korean projects announced by Netflix for the next few years.

No release date has yet been announced.
