The drama “My Royal Nemesis”continues to unveil its universe with new images focusing on Lim Ji-yeon, who plays a formidable antagonist of the Joseon era projected onto contemporary Korea.

In this romantic comedy combining fantasy and the clash of eras, the actress plays Shin Seo-ri, a struggling actress suddenly possessed by Kang Dan-shim, a historical figure feared for his ruthlessness. Opposite her, Heo Nam-joon plays Cha Se-gye, a cold, calculating chaebol heir.

The new images highlight the contrast between these 2 radically opposed worlds.

Between confusion and the return of the “bad girl”

At first, Kang Dan-shim appears completely unsettled by her new surroundings. Faced with a modern setting she doesn't understand, her expression is one of surprise and disorientation. Accustomed to the strict codes of Joseon, she seems totally lost in the face of 21st-century behavior and situations.

But this confusion soon gives way to a return to her original personality. In other images, her gaze becomes intense, almost menacing, revealing all the strength and determination that made her a feared figure in her time.

Her cold, dominant aura reappears, suggesting that she has lost none of her character despite this change of world.

Attention now turns to how this “villain” will adapt to modern society, and whether she will manage to survive, or even impose her own vision in this new universe.

“My Royal Nemesis” will be broadcast from May 8 at 9:50pm (Korean time) on SBS and on Netflix worldwide.

We'd like to take this opportunity to share with you a teaser from the SBs channel for this drama and for «Sold out on you», which will begin airing on April 22. It features the 4 main actors on a blind date, meeting on the days of the broadcasts.
