tvN has unveiled a first script reading video for « Four Hands »his upcoming musical drama Song Kang, Lee Jun-young and Jang Gyuri, scheduled for broadcast in August.
The title of the drama refers to the musical term «Four Hands», a piano technique in which 2 people play the same instrument simultaneously. A perfect metaphor for a story that combines friendship, rivalry, love and a passion for music.

A duel between two piano geniuses
At the heart of the story is Kang Bi-oh, played by Song Kang. A true piano prodigy, he is known for his perfectionism, exceptional talent and unfailing discipline. A brilliant student, he dominates both school rankings and piano competitions, and seems destined to win the greatest international competitions.

But his destiny changes when he meets Choi Jeong-yo, played by Lee Jun-young. Equally gifted, Choi Jeong-yo grew up in difficult circumstances and has long sought to escape his own musical abilities. His arrival at a prestigious art high school will upset Kang Bi-oh's equilibrium and give rise to a rivalry that could change their future.

When we read the script, Song Kang impressed us with her calm, controlled portrayal of the perfectionist Kang Bi-oh, while Lee Jun-young brought all the spontaneity and sensitivity that characterize his character.
Jang Gyuri completes the main trio
Jang Gyuri plays Hong Jae-in, a student specializing in the viola. Gifted with a particularly sensitive ear, she possesses an uncommon musical instinct that enables her to immediately recognize the most beautiful melodies.

Since childhood, Kang Bi-oh's music has been one of the few to meet her musical requirements. It has become one of her closest friends, and an important support in her career.
The dynamic between the 3 characters should be one of the central elements of the drama.
Intensive preparation for the actors
In the video unveiled by tvN, the actors also explained how they prepared for their roles. To make their musician characters believable, several cast members took piano lessons, studied classical works and observed the gestures and attitudes of real professional pianists.
They also worked on posture, hand movements and stage attitude to best reproduce the world of classical music.
This preparation testifies to the ambition of «Four Hands» to offer a realistic representation of the world of young musicians at the highest level.
An experienced cast of young stars
The series will also feature a number of established actors: Jung Jin-young as Kang Seung-u; Yoon Se-ah as Kang Ji-hye; Kim Joo-hun as Do Hyun-soo; Seo Jae-hee as Yun Seon-ju; Kim Min and Lee Myeong-ro in important supporting roles.
With its mix of classical music, competition, emotion and romance, «Four Hands» could well establish itself as one of the most eagerly awaited dramas of the summer.
First broadcast scheduled for August 2026 on tvN.
